As a user of an E3/DC home storage system, you can now market your surplus PV directly with us and follow the process in the E3/DC portal. You can find more information about this on this page.

What Is Aggregation and How Does Billing Work?

Aggregation means selling electricity from renewable energy sources such as photovoltaics, wind, biogas or water. Here, the electricity generated is traded and remunerated directly on the electricity exchange via a direct marketer such as LUOX Energy, instead of being delivered to the local grid operator at a fixed EEG feed-in tariff.

Protection via the Market Premium

LUOX Energy pays you the remuneration from the electricity exchange, minus the costs for aggregation. This increases the long-term profitability of your installations. In addition, you receive the market premium from your distribution network operator, guaranteed for 20 years, providing financial security.

The reference value remains the same throughout the entire subsidy period, while the distribution between the market premium and the market value changes monthly.

  • Increase profitability through aggregation: By combining the sale of your electricity with market premiums, you can achieve higher earnings in the long term compared to fixed feed-in tariffs.
  • Prepare now for the time after the EEG feed-in tariff.
  • Simple contract signing, conveniently from your computer.

The LUOX Pricing Model – Without Risk Surcharges

Our pricing model is transparent, fair and works well even in today's volatile markets. It guarantees that no risk surcharges are added and passed on to you.

Here’s How it’s Structured:

  • The electricity feed into the grid is remunerated on an hourly EPEX day-ahead spot price.
  • A fixed service fee based on the generation capacity of the plant.
  • A variable service fee, which is a percentage of the compensation for the electricity fed into the grid (3%).
  • The marketing costs are passed on transparently.
  • A one-time setup fee of €200.

Frequently Asked Questions

In our knowledge database, you will find information about direct marketing, dynamic electricity tariffs and renewable energies.

What should I consider regarding remote controllability?

Thanks to the integration between E3/DC and LUOX Energy, your system is already equipped with the necessary technology for remote controllability. Before registering for aggregation, we will carry out a remote controllability test for your installation. To benefit from this setup, log in to the E3/DC customer portal and complete the contract with us using the link provided there.

Can I charge my E3/DC storage system when electricity prices on the exchange are low?

Yes. If you switch to aggregation, you can continue to charge your E3/DC battery from the grid - for example, using the LUOX Dynamisch tariff. It is essential, however, to ensure that your battery does not feed electricity back into the grid during charging. Otherwise, you risk losing the market premium for the electricity you feed in.

What are the benefits of the cooperation between E3/DC and LUOX Energy?

The cooperation between E3/DC and LUOX Energy eliminates the need for a separate aggregation interface, which is usually required to ensure remote controllability of your system. This means you save on the additional costs for such an interface.

How do I sign the aggregation contract as an E3/DC customer?

Log in to the E3/DC customer portal and click on the link to our earnings calculator. Using this specific link where the E3/DC logo is visible in the calculator - you can finalize the aggregation contract with us. This ensures that we can use the direct integration between E3/DC and LUOX Energy to control your installation remotely.

What if I have already signed an aggregation contract with LUOX Energy?

If you are still in the registration process, please cancel your current contract with us and sign up again using the link provided in the E3/DC customer portal. We require access to the interface between E3/DC and LUOX Energy and this is only possible via that specific link.
If your contract with us has been in place for some time, please do not cancel it. In that case, you will not gain any additional benefits from re-registering.

Does the cooperation affect the costs of aggregation?

Yes, the cooperation removes the cost of the aggregation interface for you. However, all other costs listed in the Pricing Model section remain unchanged.
