Frequently asked questions

What are the benefits of dynamic electricity tariffs for the housing sector?

Dynamic electricity tariffs offer the housing sector the advantage of reducing energy costs by shifting consumption to periods with lower electricity prices. They promote the use of renewable energy and provide transparency through real-time price information. These tariffs enable flexible energy consumption, which is both cost-efficient and environmentally friendly.

How does billing and compensation work in aggregation?

In aggregation, billing is based on the volume of electricity you supply each month and the respective market price. You will receive a detailed invoice from us that explains all billing components. Invoicing takes place on the 18th of the following month, and payment is made on the 25th (e.g., electricity fed in during April: invoice on May 18, payment on May 25). You will automatically receive this invoice by email and can also view it in your customer portal or the LUOX Energy app.

When is aggregation worthwhile in the housing sector?

Aggregation is worthwhile in the housing sector when property owners or managers wish to sell electricity generated from photovoltaic, wind, or biogas installations at current market prices. It enables higher earnings than fixed feed-in tariffs and uses real-time data to optimize energy sales. This allows stakeholders to maximize revenue while promoting the use of renewable energy.

What is needed for a dynamic electricity tariff in the housing sector?

To benefit from a dynamic electricity tariff in the housing sector, you need smart meters that measure energy consumption in real time. In addition, access to a provider offering dynamic tariffs and real-time price information is required. This enables flexible control of energy consumption and supports cost savings.

Who is allowed to sell electricity via aggregation in the housing sector?

In the housing sector, property owners, managers and operators of photovoltaic, wind, or biogas installations are allowed to sell electricity via aggregation. They can sell the electricity they generate at current market prices and achieve higher revenues. Aggregation also enables the use of real-time data to manage electricity sales more effectively.
