This is LUOX
Since 2013, LUOX Energy has managed over 400 plants as an aggregator through Lumenaza. We offer direct access to the energy market and fair earnings from the sales of surplus. Marketing costs are transparently and proportionally passed on to you, without hidden risk premiums. Decreasing costs are directly passed on to you.
Benefit from a contract that can be canceled monthly, giving you full control. We support you with Redispatch 2.0 to help prevent grid congestion and efficiently manage your plants, contributing to grid stability.
Choose LUOX Energy and enjoy transparent, flexible aggregation with maximum control and fair conditions.
What is aggregation and how does the billing work?
Aggregation means the sale of electricity from renewable energy sources such as photovoltaics, wind, biogas or hydro power. In this process, the surplus generated electricity is traded directly on the electricity exchange through an aggregator like LUOX Energy and compensated accordingly, instead of being fed into the local grid at a fixed EEG feed-in tariff.
Whether it's a photovoltaic system, solar park, wind turbine or biogas plant – we are your partner for marketing your electricity from renewable energy. We market plants with an installed capacity of 0 to 10 MW. In the context of Redispatch 2.0, we also take on the market roles of the Dispatching Responsible Party (EIV) and the Operator (BTR).
as a direct marketer
Hedging via the market premium
LUOX Energy pays you the earning generated on the electricity exchange in the form of the day-ahead price, minus the costs for aggregation. In the long term, aggregation increases the profitability of your systems. In addition, you receive the market premium from your respective distribution network operator, guaranteed for a period of 20 years, providing you with financial security.
The market premium is calculated based on the average electricity exchange prices (market value). This value remains the same every month for the 20-year support period, while the difference between the market premium and the market value varies monthly.
For Plants above 100 kW, Aggregation has been mandatory since 2016. For smaller Plants, participation is voluntary.
For plants with a capacity of over 100 kW, aggregation has been mandatory since 2016. Smaller plants can participate voluntarily. Plants that were commissioned after January 1st, 2016, and have more than 100 kWp capacity must be marketed directly. This obligation applies to new plants with over 500 kWp since August 1st, 2014. Existing plants that were approved and commissioned before the EEG 2014 came into effect are exempt from this obligation and can choose between EEG aggregation and fixed feed-in tariffs from the grid operator.
Voluntary and mandatory direct marketing
New systems are required by law to sell directly from an installed capacity of 100 kW
Existing investments can voluntarily switch to direct marketing and generate attractive additional revenue.
Increase profitability through aggregation
By combining the sale of your electricity with market premiums, higher long-term earnings can be achieved.

The LUOX Pricing Model – Without Risk Premiums
Our pricing model is transparent, fair and works reliably even in today's volatile markets. It ensures that no risk markups are added or charged to you.
Balanced Marketing Costs
Our marketing costs are balanced and transparent. LUOX Energy Community diversified and balanced portfolio of plants collectively minimizes cluster risks. This means that the actual costs are proportional to your earnings, this ensuring that you benefit immediately from lower costs.
This is how our pricing model is structured:
- The electricity fed into the grid is remunerated on an hourly basis according to the EPEX Day-Ahead market spot price.
- A fixed service fee, based on the plant’s generation capacity.
- A variable service fee calculated as a percentage of the remuneration for the electricity fed into the grid (3%).
- The marketing costs are transparently passed on.
- A one-time setup fee of €200.
The costs for the smart meter are additional.
Legal Requirements
- Measurement of feed-in
The electricity surplus fed into the grid is measured by a meter that enables quarter-hourly balancing. - Remote controllability and actual feed-in – for Systems larger than 25 kWp
-The aggregator must be able to remotely control the system.
-The aggregator must be able to retrieve the actual feed-in data from the system.
From 01.01.2025, every network user can request the installation of an intelligent measurement system from their metering point operator. Alternatively, you can get one from an alternative metering point operator (competitive metering point operator). Starting at 100 kWp, an RLM meter is required. Promotion of renewable Energy
Aggregation increases the financial attractiveness for you as a producer and supports the integration of renewable energy. This strengthens the competitiveness and expansion of renewable generation, which is crucial for climate goals.
Flexibility and Control
Our pricing model adapts to different market situations and minimizes administrative effort. Through our customer portal, you always have insight into your marketing results and can adjust settings as needed. We provide everything necessary for efficient plant management and to maximize your contribution to the energy transition.
Combine our Products
Combine LUOX Direktvermarktung with LUOX Dynamisch to make the most of price fluctuations. Sell surplus electricity profitably when prices are high and purchase electricity cheaply or free of charge when prices are low or negative. This strategy maximizes your earnings and contributes to grid stability.
This flex-ready strategy ensures that you benefit optimally from price fluctuations and maximizes your revenue, while at the same time contributing to grid stability.

Frequently asked questions
LUOX Energy supports the aggregation of photovoltaic, wind, hydro and biogas installations. These renewable energy systems can sell their electricity directly on the electricity exchange and benefit from fluctuating market prices.
Aggregation allows energy producers to sell their electricity directly on the electricity exchange instead of relying on fixed feed-in tariffs. They take advantage of market prices that vary depending on supply and demand in order to achieve higher earnings. Intelligent systems and real-time data help optimize the sales process and maximize revenue.
RLM meters (load profile meters) and iMSys serve different purposes. Both types of meters record electricity consumption in 15-minute intervals. However, RLM meters not only measure electricity consumption but also capture peak loads.
For generation systems such as PV installations, biogas systems, or wind turbines, RLM meters are used for installations with an installed capacity of 100 kWp or more. Under current regulations, these systems cannot yet be equipped with an iMSys - only smaller installations up to 100 kWp are eligible for a smart metering system.

Once the interface is installed, we require confirmation of installation (proof of completion) from the installer. If the installer requires a VPN certificate from LUOX Energy, they can contact our support team directly at kontakt@luox-energy.de.
Full details on technical requirements: Aggregation Prerequisites
In aggregation, billing is based on the volume of electricity you deliver each month and the corresponding market price. You will receive a detailed statement from us, including an explanation of all components. Billing takes place on the 18th of the following month and payment is made on the 25th (e.g., electricity fed in during April: billing on May 18, payment on May 25). You will automatically receive the invoice by email and can also view it in your customer portal or LUOX Energy app.
Aggregation offers businesses the opportunity to generate higher earnings by selling electricity at current market prices. It allows flexible adaptation to market conditions and uses real-time data to optimize energy sales. In addition, it promotes the use of renewable energy and enhances overall competitiveness.
