Frequently asked questions
In our knowledge database, you will find information about aggregation, dynamic electricity tariffs and renewable energies.
LUOX Energy is a brand of Lumenaza GmbH, a Berlin-based company that acts both as a software and service provider, as well as a supplier and aggregation company for green, decentralized electricity.
A dynamic electricity tariff is a pricing model for electricity in which the price per kilowatt-hour (kWh) is adjusted at short intervals. This adjustment depends on various factors such as current demand, the availability of renewable energy, market prices, and other relevant conditions.
Aggregation refers to the sale of electricity, especially from renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, biomass and hydropower, directly on the electricity market or to large-scale customers, rather than via traditional utilities. This is typically carried out by operators of renewable energy installations (RE installations).
To switch to aggregation, certain technical requirements must be met. You can find the technical requirements for aggregation here. Please note that the costs for procuring the necessary technical equipment must be borne 100% by the plant operators.
Conventional power plants produce electricity at a constant rate. With the necessary and accelerated expansion of renewable energy, electricity generation increasingly depends on photovoltaic and wind power systems, which generate more or less electricity depending on the weather. Dynamic tariffs are designed to incentivize electricity consumption precisely when there is a high supply of renewable electricity and prices on the electricity exchange are low. This way, you can save money while also contributing to the energy transition by using electricity in a smart way that helps stabilize the grid.
